Bob Cain
Bob Cain is a father of three adult children — Aidan, Niall, and Lauren — and a proud grandfather to two grandchildren, Oliver and Noah. They are the light of his life and a constant source of purpose, inspiration, and joy.
Bob is a passionate advocate for cancer awareness and a survivor of stage 4 colon cancer. He holds an Honours BA in Neuroscience from Brock University and a diploma in Electronic Engineering Technology from Niagara College — an uncommon blend of scientific insight and technical acumen that informs both his writing and his worldview.
He is the inventor of a U.S. patent for an early warning device designed to assist individuals with epilepsy, reflecting his lifelong commitment to improving lives through innovation and empathy.
24HrDay is Bob’s first book — a raw and deeply personal chronicle of his cancer journey. He writes to offer insight, hope, and encouragement to anyone facing serious illness or adversity, and intends to continue sharing his story for as long as he is able. His upcoming books, Virtuosity and Warrior, will further explore themes of resilience, purpose, and personal transformation.
A creator at heart, Bob is also a musician and producer of the original 12-song album Blue Morning Light (2017). Professionally, he is the founder of Eco-Train Inc., a pioneering Canadian company helping the wireless industry shift toward a circular economy.
Bob lives in Coquitlam, British Columbia, with his life partner, D’Arcy Saunders. Together, they embrace each day with purpose, gratitude, and love. Through 24HrDay, Bob invites others to do the same — by living fully, loving deeply, and holding on to hope even in the darkest hours.
